So very sad. I am very glad that you got to see your SWAN...beautiful swan!!! And the little mallards are very cute!! We were out in Henrietta today and it was pretty raw out...just damp and kind of a cold rain! Now I feel kind of sick….I hate the thought of that poor little animal just lying there. So very sad.

This time of year, there are often quite a few swans just east of the marina, on the Webster side of the bridge. Did you see all the folks out on the ice today? Looked like rubber ice to me -- I can't believe how many people are willing to risk a cold dip! Somebody goes through that ice every year. We often watch the local volunteer firemen conducting cold-water rescue drills by the boat launch. EJ78 has lived on the bay for a few years now.
