Ian, you might well have heard of Coneflowers…unwittingly! They are actually Echinacea.
I’m not sure about flower names in Oz, but here is the US, we have a tendency to call flowers by “common names”. I know when I have visited the sites of folks in UK, they generally refer to plants by their “proper” Latin names. Not sure if we are not as “Latin-savy” or just lazy!!! (or, perhaps they why we became independent…hehehehe)
