Uh oh!
I often spend quite a bit of time photographing a bird or group of birds, trying to get that really “great” shot. Unfortunately, the great shot often never comes. That’s okay because I will find myself back at it again in just a little while! I love photography that much!
Just a short time ago, I decided to capture a little male Goldfinch. There are many of them perched on the tree outside the window, so I searched for the brightest little chap….
I couldn’t have picked a better subject….
Yes, that female flew up and chased my little fellow away!
Can you say “hen-pecked”????

Looks like the fellow was checking you out just as you were checking him out. Maybe the “Mrs” didn’t like him looking at another “chick” hehe
…. or she was defending ‘her’ territory – it is not only males that do that.
It is interesting that ‘your’ Goldfinch doesn’t have the red coloration that ‘mine’ has.
Terri, that is too funny!
Bill, your photos are so nice of the finches and in looking at them again, I think our Goldfinches look more like your Greenfinches! Your “Golds” are so much more colorful!
