I So Dislike Being Grumpy…
BUT!
I was so anxious to get out of the house today. The sun was shining, the sky was blue…perfect day. Unfortunately, things just did not go my way. So, I decided to make the most of the situation and take down Christmas decorations. As I was packng ornaments, I realized I hadn’t shown this very special one!
By the way….for a serious challenge, try photographing a navy blue ornament with writing on it while it is hanging on the tree! I got so frustrated after several attempts using every setting known to mankind, I finally took the ornament out and set it on the front porch to photograph it! Amazing how every little detail showed up!
One more photo….and that of the ornery-looking sky tonight before sunset. And speaking of weather! We got a little douse of rain early this morning. This wasn’t anything serious, but to the unsuspecting, it could have been terribly treacherous! Our deck, just outside the French doors, was like glass this morning! I noticed the ice when I turned on the light…thank heaven!
We are due for a rain/freezing rain/snow mix tomorrow.
For now, I shall sip my tea, enjoy a slice of toast, and dream. About taking photographs! Oh, and an update on my eye…it is just fine! All I can figure is perhaps I hurt it in my sleep the night before last!

Commenting on my own entry. Boy, I really need to find some ways to spend my time better! Actually, I am commenting that my blog header was changed to navy blue and gold to support the Buffalo Sabres! The ornament also sports their colors!
I almost fell on my head on my porch too! I can relate!! And they are forecasting frigid temps for the weekend. Is it me….or has it been much colder than usual this year? It’s only the first week of January and I’m already yearning for just a little more warmth! Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I think it’s a colder winter everywhere this year. I’m freezing! (though we still haven’t had any significant snow. I did see a couple of flakes today, but it really literally was just two flakes – I counted them!).
Jeanne and Jackie, so much for global warming, eh? Yes, it is colder than usual I think. We have also had more precipitation, I believe!
