Forgotten Update!

I have been so busy, I forgot all about this picture I snapped a few weeks ago! I had wanted to do an update on an entry I did earlier this year regarding the “green” building  that is being built just a few miles from our home.

Eagle Mountain, Inc., had their official groundbreaking November 2, 2007,  and although the building has been kind of slow, it is obvious the structure is nearing completion….at least on the outside! The announcement regarding the groundbreaking and info is here.

I am glad I looked up the information about this company, as they have tankless hot water heaters. Since our water heater is getting old,  Mark and I have been thinking about a new one, and we really like the idea of a tankless model.  I’ve bookmarked their site, as there is much really interesting information available there!

  • I recently got tankless water heating and it’s brilliant. I’d recommend it.

By the way, those vines from yesterday are amazing!

  • I’m not replying on each of the older posts from when I was away, but suffice to say they did not fall below the usual high standard I’ve come to expect.

Say a belated happy birthday to Michelle from me as well!

  • Thanks for the heads-up, Jackie!

I have to giggle when I think about the hot water tanks. Several years ago, we were told about a hot water tank that failed and skyrocketed through the roof of a home! Mark, being a mechanical engineer, said that would be nearly impossible. However, he DID say he wants to replace our water heater as it is getting old and the thought of it failing and flooding the basement makes him shudder. Well, a few weeks ago, he was watching one of his favorite shows called “Myth Busters” and didn’t they show how a hot water heater CAN fail and become a missile!!!!! He even recorded the episode for me! He really isn’t concerned about the explosive element nearly as much as the flooding, but we do plan to replace it with a much more elegant-looking tankless model!!!

    Thank you so much, Bill!

Ian, I really like these MUCH better! That big ugly heater we have down there now (in the basement) is noisy and takes up so much space!
