A Better Day!

This was a somewhat busy day, but much better, overall, than yesterday! I would rather avoid the hospital as much as possible!

I needed to run to the store to get some medical supplies.  As much as WalMart carries, they were missing some components we needed for Mark.  I went to  The Medicine Shoppe, but it was no longer there! It is now The Pharmacy Shop. No problem. But look at the name of the shop next door! I have never seen anything like that before….

Since  I drove all the way to Canandaigua, I thought I might as well take a lookat TJ Maxx.  As I parked the Explorer, Icouldn’t help but notice all the pretty trees in the parking lot. They are still fully “clothed” and very colorful!

I loved the way this fellow patiently sat in the back seat, awaiting his people.  The weather was amazing today. It was so warm, I drove with the windows open, enjoying the fresh air! I think this guy loved it, too!

Since I was going home, I had to make one more stop at the city pier…and yes, it really is on the way home. Sort of.

Look at the nekkid tree in the foreground and note the trees in the background.  Yes, one would be hard-pressed to decipher the time of year this picture was taken! (it was taken today, of course!)

The gulls were all lined up on the breakwall, totally enjoying the warm sunshine and gentle breezes…

Like all good things, my little photo op medical errands run had to come to an end.  Well,  even though I had to get along home,  I could still take the scenic route home and enjoy my outing just a bit longer! (And yes, I do “milk” opportunities such as this glorious day!

This looked so much like something in a storybook, I just had to get a photo.

Fresh air and sunshine…..what a recipe for a fantastic day!

  • So glad today was a much better day than yesterday. Hope Marks wound heals fast and completely. I know they can be little buggers and you have to keep on top of them all the time. You did right in going to the ER. Better safe than sorry.

  • No Way! The Medicine Shoppe isn’t there anymore???? That is the only place…other than Strong where I can get a particular bandage. They must have changed owners or something. They were a compounding pharmacy last time I was in there. And they did mention to me that they do animal compounds as well. Hopefully they will carry the same stuff! Glad you were able to find what you needed! It’s so funny we live so close and you always end up finding out things before I do!! I totally agree with you that it was a beautiful day outside today! And tomorrow is supposed to be even better…YAY! More errands / photo opps?? Love your pics!

  • I love the way you can turn a regular errand into a photo op! I should try to do that more often for myself. I can tend to rush around and not really look around!

  • Hmm, I got a Christmas card (yes, already) featuring a dinner party in that barn…along with a someone, who shall remain nameless, standing in a field wearing barn boots and a cowboy hat…sort of odd, really…

I love the very colorful trees. It seems as though the small, red leaves hold on the longest. I keep seeing trees that almost appear on fire for all the red leaves on them.

  • Well, Carly, I would love to see Danny Wegman dressed as such!

Yes, I did mention Danny’s name as I have discovered that his fantastic barn is home of Wegman’s Organic Research Farm. Yup. There are a couple of photos of the barn in the Menu magazine, too! (I got my magazine after posting the photo! hehehe) If you do a Google search, there is lots of info and photos too. They have been going great guns on the farm, tilling up planting beds and installing a ginormous fence. No deer allowed!!!! They are even selling some organic foods at the Canandaigua store from the farm, according to one story on the net. So there you have it! Oh, and according to the article, Colleen hada lot to do with her dad getting into natural stuff! How about that?

  • Ian

As Frances wrote, I love how your everyday is simply so fascinating — and how you photo it for us. Photos of me driving to and from work, and sitting at a desk all day, would be rather dull. ;)

  • Aw, Ian, I am constantly on the lookout for the unexpected and unusual. The sad fact is, life generally doesn’t involve a lot of “out of the ordinary” experiences. So, I just try to embellish what is given! hehehe….You might be surprised at the photos that pop up on your drive to and from work if you were to carry your camera with you all the time!!!! To tell you the truth, since I *do* always have a camera nearby, I think the Lord humors me with things I would normally miss!!!!
