sailing-on-lake-eriesmall.jpg

I caught these sailors on the lake last Friday, while visiting the Erie County Basin Marina in Buffalo, New York….

  • I need to get out with my camera more and get shots of things other than my flowers. But they are a great subject! No big bodies of water here….just fields of corn and soybeans. Life has been running way too fast for me too! Welcome back to WW!

  • That’s an exquisite shot. The lake looks almost like glass.

  • That is a stunning shot. I grew less than an hour from lake Erie, and can remeber when it wasn’t so pretty. Good to see it at it’s finest.

  • How wonderful! I love sailing – not that I have a clue what I’m doing, but if I’m with someone who does then there’s nothing like being out on a lake under sail! That’s a lovely picture – though I’m probably just jealous because there’s some sun in it (none of that here!).

  • Jackie, believe it or not, I do think it was sprinkling a little bit as I took that photo! We also have had a bit more rain than usual. Who am I kidding? We have had lots more rain than usual! But, it has also been a cool summer, which makes me quite happy!
