“D” is for Ducks, Dogs, and “D”lightful!

Our weather lately has been very unpredictable…the forecast calls for scattered showers…but, in reality, it is more like, “flip a coin” to see what weather one will get! This method is just about as accurate as the actual forecast!  Not the weatherman’s fault….there have been little “cells” of weather scattered about on the weather maps!

Today, I left the house with a list of several items we needed from the grocery store.  It was a terrific day. We had a few sprinkles here and there, but the bulk of the day was just blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and all of the elements to cause a daydreamer to get lost in deep thought….

This is a view of the lake from the top of our road. It really is a great view!

This is the “main drag” where much shopping in Canandaigua is situated. It is called Eastern Boulevard.

This blonde sitting in the passenger seat was SO gorgeous!!!

A beautiful day means a quick trip to see what is happening down at the lake…

Okay, no more words….these photos can speak for themselves. Enjoy!

  • Don’t you just love watching how much fun the dogs have playing in the water???? Makes me want to be a kid again!! My big guy just LOVES the water. He’s just getting to the point where it is too painful for him to swim anymore….the cold water just isn’t good for his arthritis. Poor guy….he just loves it. I am not sure how my new little girl will like it…she’s only been down by the water once so far…we were going to take her out in the boat today, til we got the severe weather warnings and decided against it. I wonder if we walked right past each other the other day???? Did you see an RV in the parking lot at Abbotts?? I swear you and I MUST pass right by each other as we are always on Main St or down by the pier, or over at Wegmans…..

  • Great pictures! I was a little confused by the duck bums, then I figured out what they were. Very cute.

So, ah, Murphy has learned how to read and type, eh? Cool, do you think he could teach Joe?

  • Michelle, you and Murphy are quite the conspirators! Something tells me Angus would be chasing those little duckie bottoms! hehehe!!!

Jeanne, I bet we have passed by one another on an occasion or two! That is so cool you have a boat that the pups can ride in! I didn’t see your RV that evening, but I have been known to not see things that are right in front of me before!!! Is your “senior” dog a lab? That must be tough for him not to be able to swim and fetch like he used to….But I am sure the ice cream is right up there with favorite things!!!!

Carly, what wouldl happen to our email if the boys began writing to one another? hehehehe

Steph, Canandaigua Lake is a fantastic place. There is so much to see and do in the Finger Lakes…it boggles the mind!

Jackie, the most amazing thing about the blonde is that she (well, might have been a “he”?) just sat there so patiently! I think I would be afraid someone would steal my “baby”…specially a Golden Retriever, since they are so friendly!
