Canandaigua Scenes on a March Day

While working hard (but enjoying every minute of it), removing ice from the sidewalk,  I kept hearing geese flying overhead.  At one point, they squawked and “barked” for what seemed like an hour! They were flying just above the clouds which made it virtually impossible for me to observe them. These are all Canada Geese, and it would appear for all intents and purposes,  they are going northward to their spring and summer homes!

Later this afternoon, both Mark and I agreed that we should take a little ride to Canandaigua.  I had a package to mail at the post office, so we were off!  After mailing the package, we headed to the lake so I could take a few photos.

These are pretty much self-explanatory.

  • Bill, visiting the Finger Lakes region of NY state would never be a disappointment….there is much to see and do. Canandaigua is one of the westernmost of the “fingers”. There is so much beauty and lots of interesting places to visit everywhere! There is the Finger Lakes Wine Trail with micro-breweries all along the way! We also have the Seneca Army Depot located near Geneva….home of the “white deer”. These are not albinos, but white deer! Let’s see…Belhurst Castle is also located near Geneva. Gosh, there is so much more! If you and Mrs Honest ever decide to come on over, let us know! We would certainly point you to some fun and interesting places!

  • Kae, are you coming out to lunch with us today????? I hope, I would love to see you. I haven’t been able to meet for one of our soapie lunches in so long, I think this will be a lot of fun.

Loved the Canandaigua photos. There’s something so beautiful and so peaceful about watching waterfowl on a mirror-smooth lake. How lucky we are to live so close to such wonders!
