Whiteout!
(and I am certainly *NOT* referring to Liquid Paper here!!!)
Just about two hours after photographing the beautiful bright and sunny skies of the Bristolwood, look what happened!
The house got so dark inside, it was amazing! I ran to the bedroom to grab my camera and as I looked out, the above was what I saw! Fortunately, the “squall” only lasted about 10 minutes, but look at these poor little brave souls!
As soon as the blowing, wind-driven snow passed, they were hopping down from their limbs, feeding contentedly and seemingly oblivious to the howling winds around them!

Fluff your feathers, trap the heat!!
I’m jealous of all that snow, but I guess you must be sick of it by now! I think we woke up to snow in March last year for a day, I’m really hoping it happens this year too, I can’t wait to see Sorley’s reaction to it!
tis our weather too! I hate the snow and ice…mostly it’s the bad roads and the howl the wind makes in the leafless trees. That…and knowing my kid is out driving around to and from work…makes a mom nervous!
We’re just outside the band of lake effect here. The folks north of us have been pounded pretty bad. They say we’re in for it tonight though… something about 7-12 inches. Nothing like that to great you on a Monday morning for work.. pleh!
errrr great = greet
Feathers dutifully fluffed and wood rack filled! The temperature now has dropped to 0, so it is very cold and I do NOT want to traipse about to get more wood!
Sorlil, come to Canada and you WILL see snow, as long as you stay on the east coast! Sorley would LOVE the snow. Kids are always so excited by it. Come to think of it, I STILL get so excited when I see the first snowfall. (read: some kids NEVER grow up!)
Denise, yes, the fact that Billy is driving in this does make it all the more worrisome! But when Billy gets home, just think how SNUG you feel!!!! The wind is getting worse and worse here. It is so loud, it sounds like a train racing along!!!! And the trees are swaying like crazy.
In all that lovely white out, there was a 36 car pile up not too far from our house. Kyle and I went to get food for his turtles and Joe and we couldn’t get on the expressway b/c of the mess. It took more than 4 hours to sort out the mess. I am content to be safe and sound at home this evening!
