While I was resting from a miserable cold, I looked out the window and spotted this sweet little female Downy Woodpecker. I do believe she was trying to make me feel better!

Awww, what a cute little thing! We’ve got a couple of those around here, too! I love it when they’re on the trees close to the house — but not so much when it’s pecking around on the rotten garage door!!
So pretty! I’d love to see something like that here, but it’s been so windy lately I think most of the birds have flown for it!

You had to have taken the pic before the nasty clouds rolled in this afternoon. It look so winterlike at work if wasn’t funny. Love how she turned towards you. Hope you get feeling better soon! Oh and I finally have a WW myself!!
