    Thank you for the comments! Jams, of course, knew the latin name instead of my *common* Columbine!!!
    Sorlil, yes, this flower, and many others like it grow at the side of my house!
    What really compelled me to snap this picture was the lightplay (is that a real term???) on the petals, making the flower appear almost tissue-like!
